AI-ERD has three plans: Free, Pro, and Business. Every feature is available on every plan — what changes is how much of it you get.

The numbers above are the live plan configuration. If the pricing page and this table ever disagree, the pricing page wins — it reads the same configuration directly.
What actually stops you
Only three things are checked against your plan, and all three are on for every plan today:
- MCP access — connecting an AI client
- AI features — Natural Language → ERD, AI Chat, title suggestions
- Table groups — creating a group
So on the Free plan you are not locked out of any feature. What you run into are the limits: 10 documents, 1 workspace, 1 project, 3 saved versions per document, and 100 AI credits a month.
When you hit one, the API answers with a plan upgrade required error naming
the limit you reached.
AI credits
AI features run on a credit budget that resets on the first of each month.
- Natural Language → ERD: about 1 credit per generation
- AI Chat: varies with message length
- Title suggestion: small fixed cost
Your balance is in account settings. When you run out you can wait for the monthly reset, buy a one-time credit pack, or move up a plan. Credit packs do not expire at the end of the month.
Saved versions
Each document keeps its most recent snapshots — 3 on Free, 30 on Pro, 100 on Business. Past the limit the oldest snapshot drops off first, and manual and automatic snapshots share the same budget.
Billing
AI-ERD bills through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. After you subscribe:
- The subscription renews monthly or yearly — your choice at checkout
- You can cancel any time from account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for
- Receipts and tax handling come from Paddle
Switching plans
Upgrading takes effect immediately.
Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal. Afterwards:
- Documents over the new limit become read-only — you can still open and export them
- Snapshots over the new limit are purged oldest-first
- Existing share links keep working
You do not lose data on a downgrade. Content above the new limit becomes read-only until you make room or move back up.
